We have a new employee on our analysis team – Jonas Mundheim Strand!
Jonas is joining Øyvind and Guro at our Stavanger office. He just finished his master in renewable energy in Tromsø and has moved back to his hometown. He is excited to start working for Kjeller Vindteknikk, and we are lucky to get a motivated colleague with an education that fits perfectly to our team.
What brought you to Kjeller Vindteknikk?
“In my master’s degree, I worked with TromsKraft on a wind farm in Kvænangen. My goal was to investigate the icing conditions, weather conditions driving the ice accumulation, and compare my results to their IceLoss-report from Kjeller Vindteknikk. Through this work, I became very familiar with Kjeller Vindteknikk, and I caught and interest for icing analyses. Kjeller Vindteknikk is the expert on icing in the Nordics, and I decided to send an open application to Norconsult. Luckily, I got a message from Øyvind, and I landed my dream job.”, says Jonas.
What are your expectations towards working at Kjeller Vindteknikk?
“As this is my first job after my studies, I expect to embark on a steep learning curve. In Kjeller Vindteknikk, there are many experts. I look forward to getting to know them, work with them, learn from them, and use my new knowledge in customer projects. A friend of mine worked during the summer for Kjeller Vindteknikk. I called her to double check if I should take the job, and she said: “you have hit the jackpot”. This made my choice even easier, and expectations even higher.“, Jonas says.
