Pia Isolähteenmäki joined our Finnish office in August to work in the wind energy analysis team.
What brought you to Kjeller Vindteknikk?
I’m a meteorologist with experience in operational weather services and research. I’ve worked with atmospheric icing, first in aviation and later in a project studying how icing conditions might change in the Nordic region due to climate change. To build my knowledge in renewable energy, I completed a second master’s degree in energy technology.
Last spring, I wrote my thesis at Kjeller Vindteknikk, which led to a full-time role in the team. I had followed the company with growing interest for years, and I’m excited to be part of a team that helps renewable energy actors make better decisions and, through that, contributes to fighting climate change.
What are your expectations towards working at Kjeller Vindteknikk?
I look forward to deepening my expertise in renewable energy. I’m especially excited about working with a variety of clients, learning more about their operations, and supporting them with my skills and passion. It’s also very inspiring to work alongside highly skilled colleagues whose work I’ve admired for a long time. I hope that I can contribute to meaningful projects and apply my expertise in ways that support the global shift towards cleaner energy.
Welcome to the team Pia!
