Knowledge about climate changes is a key input to how we are planning for our future energy resources and infrastructure. Observed and modelled future trends of temperature, precipitation, snow and icing conditions and seasonal changes are some key indicators that need to be analyzed to make robust decisions.
With KVT’s high competence within meteorology and climate science, we are capable in doing a variety of analysis related to climate change. We have our own datasets for historical and future climate and use also other available data sources.

Here are some examples of services that we do:
- Future production losses due to icing (IceLoss Future climate)
- Hydro power resources in the future
- IDF (Intensity-Duration-Frequency) curves for precipitation used in flood risk management and other climate adaption planning
- Climate vulnerability analysis for various purposes
- Trend analysis of meteorological parametersPlease do not hesitate to contact us for more questions!
