Like many other conferences recently, WinterWind conference was held online during this week gathering the global cold climate wind energy community together again. As usual it was great! A very well organised,  informative conference.

We had the privilege to present in four different sessions, including the key note by our own Björn Egil Nygaard, as well as co-chair four of the sessions. For more information on the presentations you can find the links below. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you want more information.

  • IEA Wind Task 19: Standardization of pre-construction icing loss assessment in upcoming IEC 61400-15 standard (Ville Lehtomäki)
  • Development and calibration of state-of-the-art icing loss estimates using a new meteorological dataset (Øyvind Byrkjedal)
  • Challenges and opportunities in the communication of risk from Ice Throw (Karl Ove Ingebrigtsen)
  • Combining ensemble icing forecasts with realtime measurements for power line and wind turbine applications (Bjørn Egil Nygaard)
