Ground based remote sensing

In addition to the conventional meteorological (met) masts in wind measurements the use of remote sensing devices (RSDs) such as SODAR (Sound Detection and Ranging) and LIDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) have become successful instruments. RSDs are widely used by both wind energy and wind engineering industries.

Kjeller Vindteknikk (KVT) offers rental of ground based RSDs. KVT has experience with LIDARs from Leosphere (Windcube, Windcube 100s/200s/400s) and ZephIR Lidar and SODARs from AQSystems.  KVT provides services for the RSDs rented or owned by customers.
